The Battle for Compassion

Don't miss the launch of Johnathan's Leighton's new book The Battle for Compassion, taking place on Tuesday, 29th November at 19.00.

The Battle for Compassion takes inspiration from science, philosophy, psychology and economics and offers a fresh perspective on the human condition and a deep contemplation on our priorities at this moment in history.

Leighton will be discussing and reading excerpts from his book from 19.00. We will also be serving an apero. Sign up for the event here

CUTTING OUT ANIMALS ? AN EVENT FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS

Susan Litsios is a writer, illustrator, typesetter and printer ? very handy skills when you write and produce your own books! Now 80, Susan continues to produce beautifully crafted books recounting the adventures of lost dragons, inquisitive spiders and dropped books.

Susan will be at the bookshop on Wednesday, 30th November from 14.00. If you bring your kids, she will show her remarkable talent for cutting animals freehand from sheets of paper. She is also happy to talk about her work as a book producer.

Drop into the bookshop between 14.00 and 16.00 to meet Susan and her endearing creations.
